It's The Next Big Thing In Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE. For example an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value). Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises. Components Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns. A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods. A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following a reset. The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted. Glyphs Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can. In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board. Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit. The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph. You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts. When you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats. Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is best to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example an Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well. Leveling The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is known as “upping”. Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is upgraded. Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses. When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it. Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources. Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. This item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded counterpart. Requirements The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the quality of their equippable gear—armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385—by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment. Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every each time you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail—the failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades. If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). However, gear improvement can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure. If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade. Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear—for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
